Blog Lovin' and Gratitude

What an exciting week! Emilliner is pleased as punch to have been featured by TWO amazing blogs!

Sherri of Martha Stewart's The Brides Guide shared some lovely words:

I've never seen anything quite like these hair brooches from E. Milliner. They remind me of the most beautiful snowflake -- so perfect for a winter wedding.

Their shapes range from dramatic to simple, and the soft colors -- gray, cream, and blushy pink -- are very romantic.

E. Milliner has many other fresh and modern styles to choose from, but if you want something even more unique, try one of her cocktail hats. They are bright, bold, and ideal for a retro-fab bride.

One of my fav wedding blogs Brooklyn Bride had this to say:

These hair accessories from Emilliner are quickly becoming some of my new favs…I love the edgy cut feathers and quirky silhouettes.

A huge thanks to both sites for the kind words. And of course all this great exposure wouldn't be possible without a very talented team of artists. Thanks and much gratitude to photographers Stacy Able and Jade Howard, MUA Kat Sterrett, Hairstylists Philip Salmon and Loni Wilson, and of course my lovely models Erica T, Audra Hill, and Nikki Sutton.

A New Year, A New Look, and Other Exciting Happenings

After an eventful year and lots of hard work, Emilliner is excited to introduce a new look and line for 2011 inspired by my own wedding this past September. Deciding what headpiece to wear was more difficult than finding a dress. I choose a hint of color with blush silk roses and a delicate spray of floating feathers to compliment my cage veil. The bridesmaids also donned fascinators of beautiful white feathers and of course the flower girls were too sweet with their feather starbursts.

A huge thanks to Maya Laurent Photography, Kat Sterrett for the amazing makeup and Loni Wilson for my beautiful hairstyle.

Soft feathers, delicate silk, a touch of sparkle- all textures that set the mood for this latest collection. Combining a nod to vintage millinery and graphic silhouettes, my hope is to offer the modern bride a stylish alternative to the traditional tulle and tiara. The feminine and one-of-a-kind fascinators create a gorgeous focal point for the bride wishing to go veil-less. Handcrafted from the highest quality materials, Emilliner headpieces can add a touch of color and whimsy to the bridal ensemble.

Emilliner's collection is currently available at The Wedding Studio (Broad Ripple) Indianapolis, and will soon be available for purchase online. See check out the new catalogue here.

Many heartfelt thanks are due for this fresh new look:
